How and why the Afghan Gender Cafe began (click here)
My hope for this virtual space is that it will serve as a network for communication and coordination of activities among activists, advocates, policy-makers, development workers, researchers, academics and others who are ‘doing gender’ work in Afghanistan. My vision for the café is that it will give us a mechanism to share training materials, manuals, guides, handbooks and other information so we can learn from each other (rather than re-inventing the wheel and pouring resources into duplicating each others’ efforts).
